Plainsong - Unplugged
In response to recent guestbook requests and add to the fine catalogue of albums, we have added a video of Plainsong's performance. This one - the first of several we shall add during the coming months - is from the Goldmark Gallery in Uppingham at the beginning of their final tour in 2012. Here, the four members of Plainsong, decided to perform without the customary PA reinforcement.
The songs are the beautiful Paul Siebel song 'Lousie' from the album 'In Search Of Amelia Earhart', Julian's 'Steal That Beat', from Plainsong's 1994 CD 'Voices Electric' and for their encore, Stephen Stills (Buffalo Springfield) 'For What It's Worth'.
Plainsong - with a trio
of Amelia songs...
Recorded at St David Hall in South Petherton in Somerset, the songs are 'Amelia Earhart's Last Flight' (McEnery) from the original Plainsong album, 'The True Story of Amelia Earhart', also from In Search of Amelia Earhart and written by Iain Matthews. The last number is 'Sweet Amelia (Cloud Nine)' by Matthews/Roberts. Apologies for the sound, the hall is lovely but it was recorded from a balcony at the back of the hall.
